we concern about the budget deficit only. rs. 70 B are expected to spent on Income Support fund which could only benifit so called 50,ooo people but this carbo tax will effect whole nation of 180 M. Further 300 assembly members budget increased by 10 M, means 3000 M or 300 B. also consider the misappropriation of funds.

i dont know why government is being defended by this carbon tax issue in dis article.. we are not liable for carbon tax things... middle and lower class is simply suffering because of these increased petrol and CNG prices. Govt must consider their cabinet size and expenditure. The way they are spending on them... result is zero.
Carbon tax or PDL is simply Zardari Tax...
GST is 16% and Zardari tax is 10%.
We are really thankful to Zardari because he is only charging 10%. - At July 12, 2009 at 6:56 PM, said...

I think if Govt do not impose the carbon tax and reduce the price of Oil then it would lead the Economy and Reduce the price of almost all things. As a result the production of all types of commodities will increase and govt can get 4time more revenue as compared to 134 Billion Rs. Reduce rate and increase revenue rule will be implemented automatically.

First of all, I should ask you people to first check the correct quantity of Liters in one barrel (don't follow other's information, try to find it by yourself). Than calculate the cost of petrol per liter and you people will know than that how much government is suffering and how much nation is.
Second, why we are always suffering when we have oil present in our land? Instead of wasting money, government should invest in the process of extraction of oil.
