Rustic furniture brings nature into your home for a warm feeling of comfort relieving you from the stress of everyday life. We carry rustic furniture created by many different craftsmen using many different furniture making techniques and materials. Woods like cedar, hickory, oak, walnut, and maple are used in rustic furniture because these woods show natural beauty giving you a rustic feel with wood grains that show age and strength in their beauty.
Furniture making techniques vary with each craftsman that creates these pieces of rustic furniture. Some rustic furniture is made with larger exposed logs. These logs may have had their bark pealed away to show the wood's inner beauty as commonly seen in cedar furniture, or it may have the bark still on the exposed log as is common with hickory furniture. Larger log furniture like log beds usually have the logs tapered on the ends where the furniture maker will fit the logs into each other much as a log furniture has each log hand crafted to fit into the next log. Some of our rustic log furniture also has twigs intertwined within the piece of furniture giving you the look of an entire tree being grown specifically for the piece of furniture. These pieces of log furniture are sure to become family heirlooms with their stunning craftsmanship.
