The debt settlement companies will coordinate and negotiate with the creditors in order to reduce the outstanding debts of the consumers. The rest of the debt amount is forgiven by the creditor. Normally, the debt settlement companies will settle debts like: medical bills, credit cards, gas cards, personal loans, etc.
