One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.
He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.
The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.
The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "none".
The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?" The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.
The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" The youth answered, "My mother worked as clothes cleaner. The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.
The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?" The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.
The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.
The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the kid.
The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.
This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his
graduation, academic excellence and his future.
After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.
That night, mother and son talked for a very long time. Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.
The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: " Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"
The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'. The Director asked, " please tell me your feelings."
The youth said, Number 1, I know now what is appreciation. Without my mother, there would not the successful me today. Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done. Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.
The director said, " This is what I am looking for to be my manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired.
Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.
A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?*
You can let your kid live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.
You would have forwarded many mails to many and many of them would have back mailed you too...but try and forward this story to as many as possible...this may change somebody's fate...

Domain names are the foundation on which a website can be built. Choosing a domain name is important for a number of reasons: it is used to build your brand online, it is used in your advertising, it is used for search engine optimization and ultimately it is what customers will use when finding you online. Domain registration is critical to your online business success.
One thing to do is decide on several different options for your name. While the name of your company is a great place to start it's a good idea to come up with a few alternatives as well. Ideally, choosing a .com is optimal because users tend to default to .com when typing in a URL, however .net and .org do have value. Using keywords in your domain name can potentially help your search engine results for those terms. You should also do a background check on the names you would like to use. The last thing you want to do is buy a domain that is viewed negatively by Google. Using a WHOIS tool you can use to aid in this research.
After you've registered your domain you should try to get a site up as quick as you can. A
domain name doesn't do you any good if there is nothing to attract potential customers. This also lets you start to gain the trust of search engines by establishing your online presence.

The Punjab government is contemplating to privatise the Bank of Punjab (BoP) with the aim that proceeds of the privatisation of bank will help bailout the provincial government from current financial crunch and Mian Muhammad Mansha, a prominent banker is the potential buyer, Business Recorder has learnt.
Sources told this scribe that Punjab government officials and BoP senior management has given a detailed briefing to the PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Mian Mohammad Mansha owner of Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) limited regarding the equity, assets, manpower and infrastructure of BoP.
It may be added that during first tenure of Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister (1991-93) Mian Mansha purchased the state owned Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) which is now one of the leading banks of Pakistan with a deposit base of Rs 368 billion and total assets over Rs 500 billion.
It may be added that Punjab government has been living on over-drafts of nearly billions of rupees from the State Bank. In order to improve its financial position it has already identified and put 1410 properties including commercial, residential and agriculture lands for sale to fetch more than Rs 12.5 billion from market since November 2009.
Till the end of January 2011, out of total properties on sale, the Punjab Privatisation Board sold out 325 properties of all kinds in open auctions and earned Rs 3.29 billion to meet its expenses said an official. In January this year, the government also announced rightsizing in public sector to save Rs 6.1 billion from current expenditures, he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab government established BoP in 1989, in pursuance of The Bank of Punjab Act 1989 and was given the status of scheduled bank in 1994. The Bank of Punjab is working as a scheduled commercial bank with its network of 284 branches at all major business centres in the country. The Bank provides all types of banking services such as Deposit in Local Currency, Client Deposit in Foreign Currency, Remittances, and advances to Business, Trade, Industry and Agriculture. A wholly owned subsidiary of BOP, First Punjab Modaraba, was established in 1992 and is being managed by Punjab Modaraba Services (Pvt) Ltd.
The Punjab government has owned 51 percent shares of the bank whereas 49 percent shares were owned by various individual, companies and foreigners. According to official record, the deposits of BoP is calculated Rs 225 billion till December 2010. Whereas, its assets were calculated Rs 173.6 billion according to Annual General Meeting 2008. The manpower is above 6,000 employees.
The bank remained under tremendous financial pressure during 2009 and 2010 owing to bad loaning particularly to Haris Steel Mill by the former president Hamesh Khan. The Punjab government provided Rs 10 billion finances to bank as equity injection to come out from the crises. Now BoP is doing business at breakeven level (no profit no loss basis), said an official requesting anonymity.
A senior finance department official said banking was a corporate activity and should be done by the private sector. If the government was interested to privatise BoP, fair market value should be carried out first to assess the total outlay (equity+loan+assets) of the bank to attract most appropriate price from the market. Privatisation should be done in open auction. It was in the interest of the government to privatise bank because it was passing through constant financial crises to deal government business and financial issues. The privatisation would help the government to avoid future loss and generate handsome funds to be diverted into development projects, he added.
Another senior Punjab government official requesting anonymity said discussions were being made at high level and political elite would decide about the privatisation of the bank. The privatisation would be done under "The Punjab Privatisation Board Act, 2010, he added.
The Punjab government can sell only 51 percent shares owned by her and the new management would purchase the remaining shares in hostile take-over from stock markets. If 51 percent shares would be sold then the purchaser would take-over the management control of the bank, he added. When contacted, Tariq Bajawa secretary finance Punjab said "it is not in my knowledge."
When asked, Ameer Mumtaz media manager BoP said it was news for me that bank was going to be privatised. When contacted, Mubashir Bashir head of corporate communication MCB on the behalf of Mansha said "we have no such intentions yet," adding that it was routine that Mansha holds meetings on various issues.
He said Mansha purchased MCB during first tenure of Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister (1991-93) Mian Mansha purchased the state owned Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) which is now one of the leading banks of Pakistan with a deposit base of Rs 368 billion and total assets over Rs 500 billion. Incorporated in 1947, MCB soon earned the reputation of a solid and conservative financial institution managed by expatriate executives.

Lansdowne College has successfully run Easter Revision Courses for over 25 years. During this time the have helped thousands of students realise their full academic potential at both GCSE and A Level, enabling them to progress onto their chosen path for their studies. Students often find themselves unaware of exactly what the examiners are looking for and subsequently unsure of what makes an A grade answer. The Easter Revision Courses at Lansdowne remedy this by not just focusing on the subject content, but also on extensive and comprehensive examination preparation, including a free mock examination at the end of the course.
Their
easter revision courses london succeed by establishing what students already know and understand, through tasks, class discussions and homework. Only then can tutors ensure the right kind of feedback and help. Many students are hardworking and diligent in their studies and approach, and yet still find the top grades beyond their grasp. This is often due not to a lack of ability, but to poor revision techniques, inadequate examination preparation and practice, as well as a general lack of confidence.

A patio heater also called a mushroom or umbrella heater is an appliance for generating radiant heat for outdoor use. A burner on top of a post, burns LPG or propane, and directs the flames against a perforated metal screen. Heat is radiated from the surface of the screen in a circular pattern around the appliance. A reflector atop the burner reflects heat that would be otherwise lost upwards. The chimenea is an alternative to the patio heater for home use, which burns wood instead of gas.
A newer type of
Patio Heater is the InfraRed Patio Heater, which although claimed to be environmentally friendly, use grid electricity. Grid electricity in the UK is 2.9 times more carbon intensive than gas. Patio heaters have become popular with bars and restaurants since they extend the day and the season for their customers to sit outdoors. This increase in the popularity of the patio heater has led to concerns over their environmental effects.

The dollar was rangebound against major currencies in Asia trade Friday following a negative market response to US data overnight and ahead of the G20 finance ministers' Paris meeting this weekend. The dollar traded at 83.36 yen in Tokyo compared to 83.30 in New York late Thursday. The euro rose to $1.3614 in Tokyo from $1.3605. The common currency firmed to 113.54 yen from 113.33.
US jobless claims and January inflation rose above expectations, and the dollar eased slightly on the mixed data as markets took an overall negative view, noted National Australia Bank's Spiros Papadopoulos.
"Investors appear to be focused on whether an improving business outlook will actually feed through to improvements in the labour market," he said. Dollar investors shunned the news of a strong rise in the regional industrial activity index of the Philadelphia branch of the Federal Reserve. Dealers cited increasing tensions in the Middle East and rising global inflation as the two key themes in the markets.
Oil prices were expected to rally higher in the event of escalating unrest, they said.
Brent oil briefly hit $104 per barrel on Thursday on such concerns after it rose to $104.52 on Wednesday the highest level since late September 2008 after Israel said Iran was sending two warships into the eastern Mediterranean.
Motonari Ogawa, senior dealer at Barclays Bank, expected investors to unwind long positions in the greenback ahead of a three-day weekend in the United States, while also saying that a large sell-off is unlikely. "It's better to assume the pair will briefly fall below 83.00," Citibank Japan's chief foreign exchange strategist Osamu Takashima also told Dow Jones Newswires. Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors are to meet for the first time under the bloc's French presidency Friday and Saturday in Paris, aiming to hammer out common criteria for measuring global economic imbalances.

The Asian Development Bank will provide $242 million to Pakistan to help it modernise electricity transmission lines and curtail losses that have contributed to a crippling power shortage, the bank said on Friday. Pakistan faced a power shortfall that peaked to between 4,000 and 5,000 MW during the 2010 summer, sparking street protests and adding to the government's problems as it battles a deadly Islamist militancy.
The new loan is part of $810 million the Manila-based bank approved for Pakistan in 2008 for the country's Power Distribution Enhancement Investment Programme, the bank said in a statement. "This project will not only reduce electricity loss during delivery to the customers but also improve the quality of service," said ADB's country director, Rune Stroem, who signed the loan agreement with Pakistani officials on Friday.
Outdated power grids and rampant electricity theft mean that some grid companies experience line losses of up to 30 percent to 40 percent, energy experts say. The project includes investments in a secondary transmission grid and will include the addition of 3,380 megavolt-amperes of transformer capacity, and 387 km of new distribution lines.
The bank this month also approved a loan of up to $100 million to U.K-based International Power PLC to build a gas-fired 404-megawatt power plant in the southwestern Baluchistan province, scheduled to be completed by September, 2013. The power crisis has crippled industry, and frequent power outages, lasting up to 18 hours in some rural areas, led to violent protests last year.
